Happy Holidays from Southern Berkshire Ambulance Squad
From all of us at Southern Berkshire Ambulance Squad — Jim, Kevin, Patrick, and every member of our crew — we wish you and your family a safe and joyful holiday season. Our crews will be on duty through every holiday, as they are every day of the year.
The Interview: Jim Santos and Ken Schumacher Celebrate 100 Years of Combined Volunteer Service
President Jim Santos and Board member Ken Schumacher sat down to reflect on their combined century of volunteer service to Southern Berkshire Ambulance Squad. Their stories span the era of all-volunteer operations through today’s professional paramedic service — and their commitment to South County has never wavered.
Our Squad’s Fly Car Gets Lettering
Our paramedic fly car is now fully lettered and looks the part. The vehicle allows our paramedics to reach patients faster and intercept basic ambulances en route to the hospital without tying up a full ALS unit.
Squad Faces
Meet the team. Southern Berkshire Ambulance Squad is staffed by more than 30 full- and part-time paramedics, advanced EMTs, and EMTs who keep South County covered 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Year-End Giving
December 31 is the deadline for tax-deductible charitable contributions for 2025. All gifts to Southern Berkshire Ambulance Squad are fully tax-deductible. Donate online, by check, or by phone →
Toy Ambulances: In Honor of the Holidays
A little holiday fun from the squad. Here’s hoping Santa brings everyone good health this season — and if not, we’ll be there.
