Primary 911 Response
For our nine primary communities, we are the designated 911 emergency ambulance service. When you call 911 for a medical emergency in these towns, Southern Berkshire Ambulance Squad responds.
Paramedic Intercept (ALS)
We provide Advanced Life Support intercept services to New Marlborough, Sandisfield, and Otis. ALS intercept allows our paramedics to rendezvous with a local Basic Life Support crew, delivering paramedic-level care when the local service may not have a paramedic available. This is a critical capability in rural communities where distances are long and advanced care can be the difference in outcomes.
Mutual Aid
We maintain mutual aid agreements with neighboring municipalities throughout South County. When a neighboring service needs support — during a mass casualty event, a coverage gap, or a major incident — we respond.
